Southern India Mill's Association (SIMA) today thanked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa for ordering easing of 'Restrictions and Controls' entailing substantial power cuts for High Tension electricity consumers from June 5.
In a statement, SIMA chairman, T Rajkumar said that the industry as a whole was much grateful to Chief Minister for putting an end to the power shortage and giving much needed relief by the industrial entrepreneurs in the state, particularly the textile industry to sustain the competitiveness.
SIMA also thanked Jayalalaithaa for taking several steps to evacuate the wind power to the maximum extent possible during the earlier seasons and sustain the viability of textile mills in Tamil Nadu.
