The company had reported a net profit of Rs 12.77 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, a release said.
Its total income for the quarter declined marginally to Rs 1,347.40 crore against Rs 1,395.29 crore a year-ago.
During the quarter, the company bagged orders worth Rs 2,243 crore, thus increasing its order book to Rs 16,128 crore as of June 30.
"The robust order intake during the quarter of Rs 2,243 crore has enhanced the order book as of June 30 to Rs 16,128 crore in addition to the L1 status of Rs 1,205 crore," the release said.
Simplex Infrastructures scrip closed at Rs 256.25, up 1.87 per cent, on the BSE today.
