Actor Mahaakshay Chakraborty has been busy promoting his latest film "Ishqedarriyaan", which he says is an interesting take on love and relationships.
The simplicity of the upcoming film is what appealed to the 30-year-old actor, who is the son of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty.
"'Ishqedarriyaan' is a simple, fresh take on love. I am playing Aagam Diwan in the film. He is a self-made millionaire who believes that everything can be achieved with hard work. He meets Luvleen, a simple village school teacher, who changes his world as he falls in love with her," Mahaakshay told PTI.
"I was touched when I read the script as the characters are very relatable," he added.
The unique name of the film was coined from from 'Ishq' (love) and 'Rishtedarriyaan' (relationships). "The word means 'relationships of love'," Mahaakshay, who is also known as Mimoh, added.
The actor was last seen in "Enemmy" in 2013.

When asked why there was a long gap between the last film and "Ishqedarriyaan", Mahaakshay said,"Offers did come my way during this time but none were striking enough. I want to go for quality rather than quantity."
The young actor is still to make a mark in Bollywood. He made his debut in the industry with 2008 film "Jimmy".
"I am used to the burden of comparison (with my father) and high expectations but I am not worried about challenges and adversities. It only makes me humble, focused and stronger. I am content," he said.
The actor used his break from films to polish on his skills in martial arts.
"I have been consciously taking out time for pursuing my other interests like mixed martial arts, astronomy, creative writing, among other hobbies. Education is a continuous lifelong process."
The movie is slated to release on May 15.
