Two-time World Championship bronze medallist, Sindhu, was shown the door by Japan's Okuhara Nozomi 19-21 21-13 21-18, before Jayaram lost his match to Korea's Hyeok Jin Jeon 10-21 21-17 21-16.
Sindhu's match lasted 84 minutes while Jayaram's contest lasted 57 minutes.
Jayaram, who clinched the Dutch Open last year, yesterday saw off Malaysia's Daren Liew 21-16 21-23 21-8 in a gruelling contest.
Sindhu had yeasterday defeated Thailand's Porntip Buranaprasertsuk, seeded fifth, 23-21 21-9.
