The estimated street value of the drugs seized in 2013 amounted to Singapore Dollar 20.5 million or 12 per cent more than the estimated Singapore Dollar 18.3 million in 2012.
The quantity of crystal methamphetamine 'Ice' seized in 2013 remained high at 43.99 kg though it was down by 13 per cent from 50.84 kg in 2012.
Cannabis seizures increased about 5 per cent to 15.54 kg last year from 14.86 kg in 2012.
The CNB said it crippled 20 drug syndicates and conducted 46 major operations and 1,526 checks at entry checkpoints in Singapore.
Heroin and methamphetamine continued to be the two most commonly abused drugs, with about 92 per cent of arrested drug abusers having used it.
