Singh congratulates Vajpayee on Bharat Ratna honour

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh today congratulated former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on receiving Bharat Ratna.
Singh expressed pleasure on Vajpayee being honoured with the highest civilian honour and also prayed for his good health.
The chief minister in his message said the former prime minister in his political career spanning over five decades, has served the nation holding important positions.
He said it was due to Vajpayee's endeavours that Chhaittsgarh came into existence in 2000 and gave direction to the new state, for which people of the state will always remain indebted to him.
President Pranab Mukherjee conferred upon the Bharat Ratna on Vajpayee, a highly respected leader across the political spectrum, at his residence in Delhi yesterday.
