Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa said it was a "non-political" initiative to help the people.
He was joined by rebel AAP MLA Kapil Mishra and BJP leader Arvinder Singh Lovely as they distributed the masks to people at the Connaught Place.
They hit out at the Kejriwal government for not making any effots to help the people in the crisis caused by the "unbearable" air pollution.
"The city is facing severe air pollution for the past two days, but Kejriwal has failed to take any steps except for tweeting and writing letters," Sirsa claimed.
