Sisodia inaugurates 3-day Summer Festival

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today inaugurated a three-day Summer Festival organised by the Tourism Department of Delhi government at Dilli Haat in Janakpuri here, with mangoes being the main attraction.
Speaking at the event, he said the festival provides visitors not only lots of varieties of mangoes but each and everything that one aspires to eat during summers.
"Besides, this event will also provide an opportunity for farmers to sell their produce and thus promote economic activities within the festival," Sisodia said.
Delhi Tourism has put a large variety of mangoes on display where growers across country rubbed shoulders to showcase the traditional and hybrid varieties, an official said.
Meanwhile, Ola said, it has been appointed as the official travel partner for the festival.
"Thousands of patrons attending the festival between June 24 June and June 26 can avail free Ola Shuttle rides from Tilak Nagar Metro station to and fro the event venue," it said in a statement.
