Inaugurating Urdu literacy centres at a function, Sisodia emphasised on co-existence of languages and advocated having academies for every language.
"A few people will work to break the country and through languages they want to create divisions. Our challenge is to unite it through language," he said.
Sisodia, who recently took charge of the Art, Culture and Languages department of the Delhi government, has directed for preparing proposal for formation of 12 language academies in the city.
"I have full faith that the academies will work to bridge the gulf created in the name of languages," Sisodia said at the function organised by the Urdu academy.

Calling upon the gathering to work as "ambassadors of culture" and "representatives of the way of life reflected by Urdu", he asked them to inculcate 'tehzeeb' in the society.
"Our challenge is to unite the society through the language. In the name of tehzeeb we will unite it," he added.
The Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government had announced in its annual budget setting up of multiple academies this year.
