In the footage released, the suspect is seen with his face covered and wearing jeans and a blue striped shirt. He is also seen carrying a yellow bag, suspected to contain the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) which was later detonated on board a Haryana Roadways bus at Pipli on May 26, an official spokesman said today.
The SIT has also appealed to the people to come forward to help identify the person.
The spokesman said the SIT had collected CCTV footage from different places in Sonepat and Panipat districts.
The spokesman said the Additional Director General of Police (Crime) has directed all district Superintendents of Police (SPs) to increase checking at railway stations, bus stands and other crowded places including malls, markets, cinema halls and religious places and take all effective steps to prevent any such incident.
Three blasts have been reported in Haryana in 2016. The first two occurred in stationary trains at Panipat railway station on January 15 and May 12 and the third one took place in a moving Haryana Roadways bus at Pipli on May 26.
