Zokhumi, who retired as headmistress of a girls school, was found on her bed this morning with deep wound purported to be inflicted with sharp instrument, SP C Laldinha told reporters.
"Though the murder weapon was yet to be found, the wound indicated that it was caused by sharp weapon like machete or knife," he said, adding that the steel almirah was opened with a key and around Rs 64,000 stolen.
Though some files were dropped on the floor no other missing articles were yet detected, he said.
