The governor during the meeting emphasized on expediting the proposed Frontier Road project saying that it would boost the economy of the state, particularly in the border areas.
Mishra said the project would strengthen the surveillance of the national borders and promotion in possession of remote land of the state along the border, a Raj Bhavan release said.
The governor also stressed on more recruitment rallies to be conducted in the state to facilitate the youth of the frontier state to join the armed forces.
She presented National Savings Certificates (NSC) to two meritorious students from the weaker economic strata of the society.
The Defence minister also attended a traditional cultural presentation at the Raj Bhavan, the release added.
