Six arrested for illegal wildlife trade

A team of Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force and Forest department has arrested six persons involved in illegal wildlife trade in Pilibhit district, police said.
The accused who have been identified as Om Prakash, Gangaram, Baba Om Prakash, Nitai Gain, Chourangi Lal and Ravindra Lal, were arrested on a tip off by the team yesterday, they said.
Police has found 17 kg meat, 300 gm bones, two tiger teeth, 4.5 kg bones of tiger were recovered from their possession.
They said the interrogations are on and efforts are being made to extract more information from the accused about their modus operandi.
