Six dacoits arrested in Jhalawar

Six members of an inter-state dacoit gang were today arrested from Jhalawar district, police said.
The accused, belonging to 'Kanjar' gang, were wanted in several cases of robbery and murder.
They were identified as Manohar Kanjar, Vikram Kanjar, Gordhan Kanjar, Shrinarayan, Sanwala and Dulla, Additional SP Kalyan Mal Meena of Jaipur (Rural) said.
All of them were wanted in connection with a dacoity committed at a house in Bhojpura village in Jaipur district in June 2012. They had opened fire during the dacoity in which a person was killed, the ASP said.
The gang members were also active in the border districts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh for the past many years, he said, adding that they would be produced in the court tomorrow to take police remand for interrogation and recovery of booty.
