In the first incident, three of a family died on the spot when their SUV, in which they were travelling, rammed into a parked truck on Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway this morning.
The incident took place near Vanthwadi village of Mahemdavad taluka of Kheda district, said Mahemdavad police. The deceased were identified as Vinod Shah (56), his wife Hina Shah(55) and their relative Rita Dave (45), all residents of Vasai in Mumbai.
Apart from them, four other family members, who were in the car, were also injured in the accident. Investigation revealed that the Shah family was headed towards Rajasthan from Mumbai to perform a ritual.
In another incident during the same time, three youths died on the spot when their bike was hit by a speeding jeep on National Highway No-8, which runs parallel to the Expressway.

According to police, the incident took place near Vadod village of Anand district. The deceased were identified as Kunalsinh Chhasatia (25), Bhavesh Makwana (27) and Vikas Parmar (27), all residents of Vadod village.
Investigation by Vasad police revealed that all of them used to work at different companies in Nandesari GIDC in Vadodara and were proceeding to their workplace on the bike, which was hit by the jeep coming from the opposite direction.
Based on a complaint filed by Udesinh Makwana, a relative of Bhavesh, Vasad police have lodged an FIR against the unidentified jeep driver and started further investigation.
