injured in a clash which broke out in Morkhi village here when villagers objected to the construction of a liquor outlet, police said today.
Villagers and workers of the liquor shop contractor attacked each other after a heated argument, leaving at least six persons injured last night, they said.
Several villagers, including women, gathered at the site and had a heated exchange of words with labourers working there.
Soon after, both groups resorted to brick-batting, police said.
The villagers alleged that the contractor and his accomplices fired several rounds in the air.
The matter was being probed, they said.
