Six killed in four road mishaps in UP

Six persons, including a toddler, were killed, and 6 others injured in four separate road mishaps here in the last 24 hours, police said today.
In the first incident, a van collided with a pickup vehicle at Ghatampur on Kanpur-Sagar Highway last evening, killing Moolchandra (40) and 6-month-old girl, Ananya, on the spot, they said.
The six injured, who were travelling to Hamirpur from Ghatampur, have been admitted to the hospital, a police spokesperson said, adding, the pickup vehicle driver was apprehended by the locals and handed over to police.
In another incident, two cousins identified as Prince (22) and Rahul (13) died on the spot when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car at Rasulaba in Kanpur (Dehat). A case has been registered and hunt is on to nab the car driver, the spokesperson said.
In the third incident at Armapur here, a state roadways bus hit a tempo carrying passengers, last evening, killing Gajendra Singh (55) while in Mumti area, a truck ran over one Bablu (29), killing him on the spot, police said, adding, investigations are underway in both cases.
