Six killed in UP, heavy showers lash most parts of N India

At least six persons lost their lives due to rain-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh as heavy showers continued to lash most parts of North India.
The Delhiites today wake upto a pleasant weather with intermittent rains lashing several parts of the city.
The city has received 0.2 mm of rain since 8.30 AM till 5.30 PM today.
However, the fluctuating level of humidity between 73 and 97 per cent led the residents to sweat out throught out the day.
The day temperature settled at 32.6 degree Celsius, which was normal for this part of the year while the minimum was recorded at 23.5 deg C, little lower than the normal.
The weatherman has predicted a generally cloudy sky with possibility of light rains or thundershowers in some areas tomorrow.

In Uttar Pradesh, moderate to heavy showers occurred in various places of Uttar Pradesh, leading to the death of six persons while major rivers in the state were flowing above the red mark during its courses.
Three people died in Hamirpur and one each in Sitapur, Amethi and Balrampur in incidents of lightning, house collapse and other rain-related incidents, taking the toll this monsoon to 221, relief commissioner's office said.
Ganga at Fatehgarh, Varanasi, Gazipur and Ballia, Yamuna at Prayag Ghat (Mathura) Sharda Palia Kalan and Ghaghra at Elgin Bridge, Ayodhya and Turtipar were flowing above the danger mark.
