Six militants arrested

self-styled finance commander in chief of the Kangleipak Communist Party-Military Council (KCP-MC) were arrested from Manipur's Imphal West district, official sources said today.

The six including, the 'finance commander in chief' Ngangom Sakhenbi were arrested during a search at Imphal market complex at Khwairamband area here yesterday by police commandos, the sources said.

Militants of different organisations entered the market complex to extort money or serve extortion notices to businessmen in the complex, the sources said.

One kg of materials used in the manufacture of improvised explosive devices were seized from one of the militants, Sunil Mangang, they added.
