The accused, all Nigerians, were drug traffickers and they had targeted college going students from the megapolis and its western suburbs, they said.
"We have arrested six foreign nationals yesterday for drug peddling. They were produced in a local court which remanded them in police custody till August 18," said Shivdeep Lande, Deputy Commissioner of Police of Anti Narcotics Cell.
The accused are specialised to deliver drugs in small quantity to the college students, he said.
In the first case, 37-year-old Matthew Okefor was apprehended from from Wadibandar bridge in Dongri. 60 grams Mefedron (MD) worth RS 1.2 lakh was recovered from his possession, another official said.
Two others - Okafore Ikwechiwkwu Igwedima (29) and Ugochukwu Uke Chritian (43) - were arrested by the sleuths of Worli Unit of ANC for possessing 30 gram of cocaine, worth Rs 1.80 lakh, the official said.
