The 58-year-old actor is clear on one thing that his sons, Karan and Rajvir, will never obsess with getting the perfect physique and rather work on their acting skills.
"My sons approach towards cinema is similar to what I have had. My approach has been towards acting and not training for being an action guy. You will not see my sons build six pack abs or something like that for the sake of doing it," Sunny told PTI.
Karan and Rajvir have been working with Sunny on his films to understand the craft of acting and filmmaking.
"They (Karan and Rajvir) were not assisting me as such for this film ('Ghayal Once Again')... My elder son (Karan) was assisting me on 'Yamla Pagla Deewana'. For 'Ghayal Once Again', they were there in the writing area as I used to discuss things with them," Sunny said.

"We are working on a project with my son (Karan). It would happen after 'Ghayal Once Again'. Both my sons want to become actors, they are focused about it. They are not someone trying to get six pack abs, they want to do good work," he added.
"If we have a great script and director then why not (someone else launch Karan). My father (Dharmendra) did not direct me. We haven't got anything interesting, so I am looking into it and will take it ahead.
