According to a Cyberabad Police release, a police team arrested M Madhusudhan Reddy, the alleged supplier along with G Sathaiah, K Chiranjeevi, B Eddaiah, E Venkatesh as well as O Srinivas, who are stone-cutters, compressor vehicle owners and excavation contractors.
The police seized 400 electric detonators and 550 gelatine sticks from their possession, the release said.
Prime accused M Madhusudhan Reddy illegally procured electric detonators and gelatine sticks from Ramakrishna, an explosives dealer, while his employee Anand supplied these to the five accused for illegal blastings at quarries, multi- storeyed building construction sites and other mega civil works, thereby endangering lives and property, the release said.
