Six prisoners escape from Karauli jail

Six inmates have escaped from the district jail of Karauli district here by jumping the boundary walls, police said today.
The incident came to light when they were not found in the counting today morning, Kailash Bohra, SHO Karauli police station said.
When the CCTV footage was scanned it was revealed that the undertrials escaped by jumping the boundary walls, he added.
The accused-Guman Singh, Lala, Pintu, Omprakash alias Baccha, Mukesh and Vijendra-- were lodged in the jail in connection with vehicle theft cases, the SHO said, adding, efforts are on to nab them.
