Six women teachers shunted out for ''indecent'' dancing

Six women teachers including the head mistress of a government school here, were transferred to another district for dancing in a school function in an ''indecent manner'' in front of the students, a government officail said today.
The school education department served show cause notices to the women teachers of Khudiram Bose English medium school here for dancing at a school function recently in ''indecent manner'' and transferred them as their replies were not acceptable.
He said the photographs were published in local media and video clippings were also shown in local TV channels of their dancing. Pictures were also posted in social media, an Education department official said adding that the teachers were under the influence of liquor during dancing.

Sources said the teachers were transferred following instructions from the state education minister Tapan Chakraborty.
