Six-year-old boy dies after being hit by an RTC bus

A six-year-old boy, crossing the road at Sainagar Colony died on the spot after being hit by an RTC bus in Anakapalle town in the district this evening.
The deceased was identified as Alla Manoj, a class one student of a private school in Anakapalle.
Tension prevailed for sometime as family members and relatives of the boy, tried to attack the driver of the RTC bus and staged demonstration demanding action against him, keeping the boy's body in front of the bus.
Manoj, son of construction worker Prabhakar, was returning to Sainagar Colony from the school in an autorickshaw and was crossing the road to reach home when he came under the bus.
His family called off the agitation after Anakapalle traffic inspector A V Leela Rao assured them that a case of rash and negligent would be registered against the driver of the RTC bus.
The boy's body was sent to a government hospital for postmortem.
