Blistering heat continued to affect normal life in parts of desert state of Rajasthan, with Jaisalmer being the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 42.7 degrees Celsius.
According to the meteorological department, heat wave conditions prevailed in Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions.
Bikaner sizzled at 42.1 degrees Celsius, while Kota, Jodhpur, Churu and Sriganganagar recorded maximum temperatures of 41.9 degrees Celsius, 41 degrees Celsius, 40.5 degrees Celsius and 39.7 degrees Celsius respectively.
Jaipur and Pilani registered day temperatures of 39.4 degrees Celsius and 36.1 degree Celsius respectively.
