The Swadeshi Jagran Manch would organise a nation-wide awareness campaign against Chinese "threat" to India's security, a SJM representative said here today.
The Manch would hold street corner meetings, debates, protest rallies, door-to-door campaigns by distribution of handbills and books highlighting the issue, All India Organising Secretary of the organisation Kashmiri Lal told reporters here.
The recent Chinese intrusion inside Indian territory in Daulat Beg Oldi area of Ladakh had made a mockery of the national defence preparedness, he said and demanded that the strategically important area be handed over to the Army instead of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police.
China was also making inroads into Indian markets by dumping its cheap consumer and capital goods, posing serious threat to India's employment sector, he said.
Lal said seven SJM representatives led by Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, national co-convener, would take part in the ninth ministerial WTO conference at Bali to be held from December 3 to 6.
The outcome of the meet would be discussed at the SJM's national annual conference to be held here from December 13 to 15, he added.
