The residents when woke up this morning were shocked to see the skulls lined along a house, the local post office and a park.
After the investigation, the Goa Police found that the skulls were removed by digging up a nearby Catholic graveyard last night. Some crosses there too were damaged.
Caetano Silveira, a local, had lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.
The island, which has some heritage houses built in Indo-Portuguese architecture style, was recently hit by a spate of robberies.
