Referring to Karunanidhi's election for the 13th consecutive time, Sampandan said it "is no mean achievement', acocrding to DMK statement.
"Though you have not come to power, you have emerged as a strong opposition. I extend my greetings to you on behalf of the Sri Lankan Tamil people," he said in his greetings.
"We desire that your constructive contribution towards a fair and permanent solution for the problems of Sri Lankan Tamil people continues," he added.
