A slight intensity earthquake, having 4.5 magnitude on the Richter scale, today hit Nepal's far-west Bajhang district, officials said.
Its epicentre was situated at the depth of 10 km, close to Kanda village, they said.
According to the National Seismological Centre (NSC), this was not an aftershock of the Gorkha earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25, 2015, but a new one.
The Gorkha earthquake was followed by 487 aftershocks, having the magnitude of 4 or more, in the last two-and-a-half- year. they added.
