Small & Medium Industrial Hub to create 5 lakh employment:

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said the upcoming small and medium scale industrial hub in Kolkata's adjoining Howrah district will create more than five lakh employment.
"Today we had held our 128 administrative meeting in Howrah district. As you all know an IT HUB is coming up in Rajarhat and a small and medium scale industrial hub is coming up in Howrah district. In coordination with Belur Shilpo Tirtha and Yokohama city, this small scale and medium scale industry will come up and it will generate employment for five lakh people," Banerjee said.
Banerjee said a new multi super speciality hospital is also coming up in Howrah.
"The traffic system of Howrah will be revamped. The Monglahat area of Howrah, will also be revamped. The universal electrification of this district will be over by next one or two months," she said.
Banerjee lauded the performance of the Howrah Zilla Parishads and Howrah Municipal Corporation.
While talking about the steps to control the flood like situation in Howrah, Banerjee said, "Work is being done along six km stretch in the embankments. Work has alreday started in Udaynarayanpur area and Uluberia area,".
TMC leaders, who were present in the meeting, said "Mamata Banerjee has given clear instructions that all government agencies has to work together. She has lauded the performance of this district. She has also asked to increase the number of work days under the 100 days' work scheme,".
