Small sugar gains on millers offtake, medium sugar slips

Small sugar prices extended its gain at the Vashi wholesale market here today on persistent demand from stockists and bulk consumers coupled with millers offtake.
While, medium sugar slipped due to lower demand from retailers.
Small sugar (S-30) rose by Rs 30 per quintal to Rs 2,410/2,482 from Tuesday's level of Rs 2,380/2,482.
However, medium sugar (M-30) moved down by Rs 7 per quintal to Rs 2,466/2,575 as compared to Rs 2,466/2,582.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,410/2,482 (Rs 2,380/2,482).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,466/2,575 (Rs 2,466/2,582).
