Small sugar gains on sustained demand

Small sugar prices gained marginally at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to sustained demand from stockist as well as bulk consumers amidst adequate stock positions.
While, medium sugar variety ended mixed on alternate bouts of buying and selling.
Small sugar (S-30) edged-up by Rs 2 per quintal to Rs 3,092/3,212 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 3,090/3,212.
Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 3,216/3,370 as against Rs 3,192/3,376 yesterday.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,092/3,212 (Rs 3,090/3,212).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,216/3,370 (Rs 3,192/3,376).
