Small sugar strengthens on sustained demand

Small sugar strengthened at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to sustained demand from stockists and bulk consumers amid good millers offtake.
While, medium sugar slipped on reduced demand from stockists and retailers.
Small sugar (S-30) surged by Rs 17 per quintal to Rs 3,095/3,212 from last Monday's closing level of Rs 3,095/ 3,195.
Medium sugar (M-30) declined by Rs 10 per quintal to 3,180/3,322 as compared to Rs 3,180/3,332.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,095/3,212 (Rs 3,095/3,195).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,180/3,322 (Rs 3,180/3,332).
