The second list of 13 cities to be developed as 'Smart City' was announced today by Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi.
Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Minister Sudhir Sharma, who represents Dharamshala Assembly constituency, congratulated the people of the state.
"I am overexcited that Dharamshala got a place in the second batch of smart cities," he said here.
Meanwhile, Union Urban Development Minister Naidu said in New Delhi that seven capital cities, including Shimla, which were not included in the 100 cities shortlisted for the competition will be able to participate in the next round with other cities.
