The education department has decided to start smart classes in 2,800 government schools in Punjab soon, an official said here today.
The motive of this whole exercise is to streamline the education system by delivering quality education, Director General School Education Parshant Goyal said.
Under the campaign, laptops, multimedia projectors and high-speed Internet access would be provided to 1,000 primary and 1,800 secondary schools incurring Rs 64 crore, he said.
