Acting on a tip-off, police put up check posts at all entry and exit points of the district and during checking at the Satish Chandra College crossroad, a truck carrying 800 cartons of liquor was apprehended. The liquor was being smuggled from Haryana to Bihar, Ballia SP Sujata Singh said.
One person was arrested for transporting the liquor, she said.
