Smuggler held with 60 cartridges

An arms smuggler was held today with 60 cartridges of Automatic Colt Pistol (ACP) from Qasim Bazar police station area in Bihar's Munger district, a police officer said.
Acting on a tip off, police nabbed Indrajit Kumar, son of Ex-JD(U) district general secretary BDO Singh, from near Safiabad airstrip allegedly with a bag containing 60 cartridges of ACP while he was riding a bike to deliver the consignment to a client, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashish Bharti said.
Kumar has been booked under the Arms Act, he said.
The seized consignment of cartridges was manufactured at an Indian Ordnance Factory at Khirki near Pune, the SP added.
