SMVDNSH announces concessions for major surgeries

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (SMVDNSH) has announced concessions for patients undergoing major surgeries and other medical procedures.
The hospital was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi yesterday.
Dr Devi Shetty, Chairman of Narayana Hrudyalaya Ltd, announced 50 per cent concession on the first 100 major surgeries in each department.
He also announced 10 per cent concession on all other medical procedures for a period of six months from April 19, 2016. The hospital has already declared free OPD for three months for all since it commenced its operations on April 8.
At the inaugural function yesterday, the Prime Minister had distributed Mediclaim Cards on a token basis to the landowners whose land had been acquired for establishment of the Hospital, Dr Shetty said.
Under this scheme, the villagers andtheir spouses have been insured at the expense of the Shrine Board for hospitalisation expenses upto Rs one lakh, he said.
The Shrine Board would also provide free of cost OPD consultation to the villagers of four villages- Sirah, Kakryal, Shool and Kotla, Shetty added.
The 230-bed hospital has been set up by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board with an investment of about Rs 300 crore at Kakryal near Katra.
