Pune-based Snehal, who is a member of the MSLTA Vision Programme and supported by Lakshya-Bharat Forge, upset second seed Venia Yeung of Hong Kong 7-6(2) 6-0 in the semifinals to enter the singles title clash, a media release said.
The junior college student would take on her doubles partner and top seed Julia Vulpio of the Dominican Republic in the final. The latter scraped past eighth seed Charmaine Shi Yi Seah of Singapore 7-6(5) 7-6(2) in the other semifinal.
Snehal and Vulpio are the top seeds in the doubles and would clash with second seeded Hong Kong pair Alvina Lai and Venia Yeung in the final.
In the semifinals, Snehal and Vulpio outclassed Maxine Ng (Sin)/Su-Yi WU (Tpe) 6-1 6-3.
