His former 'Another World' co-star Alicia Coppola shared the news on Twitter, according to Hollywood Reporter.
"Charles Keating has passed. I am so very sad," Coppola said, adding, she also called him her "very first acting teacher" and was "so honoured to have learned from the best."
Keating was born in England and got his start on the stage before breaking into television. He went on to play the villainous Carl Hutchins in 'Another World', which earned him the outstanding lead actor in a drama series Daytime Emmy in 1996.
On the big screen he appeared in 1992's 'The Bodyguard' and 1990's 'Awakenings'.
