Social security for those with 40 pc disability in Haryana

Haryana government today said that the social security pension benefit will also be extended to persons with 40 per cent disability.
Making the announcement, Haryana's Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Kumar Bedi said the proposal was already under review.
"The department is reviewing this proposal and in some schemes, such benefits are being given by central and state governments," said Bedi.
"The initiative to provide benefit to persons with 60 to 70 per cent disability has already been taken," he added.
Bedi said that the state government was making all-out efforts to provide all kinds of helps to those with disability.
"It is the priority of the government to provide any kind of help to such persons. The government is following the dictum of 'Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas' and 'Antyodaya'," he added.
