Some leaders spreading rumour about CNT/SPT amendments: BJP

The Jharkhand unit BJP today alleged that some leaders and political parties were spreading confusion among the tribals about amendments of CNT/SPT acts.
Besides general tribals, tribal intellectuals also acknowledged that the proposed amendment of Chhota Nagpur Tenancy/Santhal Pargana tenancy acts has been made keeping their basic structure and interests of the tribals, party spokesman Prem Mittal said in a release here.
After the amendment, the tribals, particularly the youth, could embark upon business and industry while ownership of their land would be maintained, he said.
The land taken to build infrastructure would get four times of its worth within two months, Mittal said.

Prosperity and development of Jharkhand could happen through the development and prosperity of tribals, which was possible through the amendment, he said.
