Some Raj govt employees go one mass leave, demand pay revision
Press Trust of India Jaipur A section of Rajasthan government employees today went on mass leave protesting against the Bhatnagar committee, which was formed by the state government to look into the discrepancies in implementation of the sixth pay commission.
Official work, however, was not much affected, sources said.
The employees are demanding revision of pay for which, they had recently held a demonstration.
Today, mainly employees of water works department remained on mass leave in different districts, sources said.
Meanwhile, almost 6,500 government doctors also boycotted work for two hours in the morning, to register their symbolic protest, demanding revision in pay scale and other benefits.
"It was a symbolic protest against government's apathy towards the demand of in-service government doctors," Dr Nasreen Bharati, doctors' representative said here.
