Somesh Sharma of Rashtradoot Saptahik is new INS chief

Somesh Sharma of Rashtradoot Saptahik was today elected President of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) for the year 2016-17 its 77th Annual General Meeting here.
He succeeds P V Chandran of Grihalakshmi (Mathrubhumi Group), according to an INS press release.
Akila Urankar (Business Standard) is the new Deputy President, K Balaji (The Hindu Weekly) Vice President and Sharad Saxena (Hindustan Times) Honorary Treasurer of INS for the year 2016-17, it said.
V Shankaran will continue to be the INS Secretary General.
