Son of UP Cooperative Society chief allegedly commits suicide

The 30-year-old son of the Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Society allegedly committed suicide in his house in Kalyani area here, police said today.
Sujit allegedly hanged himself from the ceiling of his room yesterday night, Superintendent of Police Ratan Kumar Srivastava said, adding that the reasons for him taking the extreme steps could not be ascertained.
Sujit's body had been sent for postmortem, he added.
Victim's father Fateh Bahadur is Samajwadi Party leader and enjoys the status of state minister for being the Charmian of the Cooperative.
