Hira Lal (50) was stabbed to death by his son, Budhprakash (30), with a sharp-edged weapon in Pavali village of the district.
According to police, Budhprakash got infuriated when Hiralal kicked his pregnant wife when she tried to intervene between the two during a quarrel yesterday.
Budhprakash stabbed Hiralal in the stomach, who died on the spot.
A case was registered against Budhprakash today based on a complaint made by his mother Shakuntala, police said.
