Sonalika reports 58% jump in sales in September

Tractor maker Sonalika today reported nearly 58 per cent jump in sales in September while it crossed 50,000 unit sales mark in the first half of the fiscal.
The total tractor sales (domestic + exports) during September 2017 were at 13,830 units, thereby registering a growth of 57.6 per cent, International Tractors Limited (ITL), the maker of Sonalika Tractors, said in a release.

While the company sold 12,056 tractor units in the domestic market, logging a 51.4 per cent growth in the previous month, the international sale went up by 118 per cent to 1,774 units in September over the corresponding period of last year, it said.
The company set a record by selling 50,002 tractors units, its highest-ever in first half of the current financial year, the release said.
"We are working consistently to launch new tractors every year, we have focused across HP segments. We are very focused that our tractors should increase the farmers income and as result we are also seeing consistent growth by growing 18 per cent in the last fiscal," ITL Executive Director Raman Mittal said.
