"I briefed her about the incident," Congress general secretary B K Hariprasad told PTI after submitting a report of the 12-member fact finding team of Congress, which had made an spot assessment of the security operation.

Hariprasad refused to divulge the details of the reports.

Sources, however, said the final report by and large reiterates the findings of the initial report, which was received by the AICC a few days back in which it was pointed out that those killed included at least seven minors.

The report also narrates the sequence of the event that led to the encounter and points that there is still a big question mark on from which side the firing began first.

Security forces have argued that they opened fire after firing started from the other side in which some CRPF jawans were injured.

The report has blamed poor intelligence of the Chhattisgarh government for the "botch up".

B K Hariprasad had yesterday said, "whatever has happened there is wrong. It's a total failure of their state government. Their intelligence totally failed. They could not assess the situation".

When pointed out that the Home Minister had backed CRPF saying the central force had been very "transparent" and "upfront" over the issue, he had said, "whatever Home Minister has said, it is on the basis of the report given to him by the state government. But we will also brief the Home Minister about what happened there."
