Expressing concern that party MPs sometimes are not present despite whips, Gandhi, who is also CPP Chairperson, wanted state convenors and Parliamentary managers to take steps to ensure better attendance.
Party sources said Gandhi said some MPs come and sign the attendance register and go back without attending the House for any considerable time.
She also sought a list of absentee MPs at regular intervals.
Gandhi has time and again expressed concern over the absence of members. Her displeasure has come on the last day of the budget session this time.
Gandhi wanted the monsoon session convened after the Presidential election which is expected by the middle of July.
